  • May 25, 2020

On 26 May 2020, a couple of weeks after Google announced its withdrawal from the Sidewalk Toronto Smart City project, Prof. Mireille Hildebrandt will speak at a panel, revisiting the Sidewalk Project at the University of Toronto Centre for Ethics (C4E). She will speak on Machines in the Loop: Smart for Whom? You can register here.

In a way this is the follow-up of an previous presentation, on 20 February 2018, where she spoke on The Ethics of Smart Cities : Interacting with Non-Human Agents at the C4E, after visiting the - then - barren site of Sidewalk Labs, see her 2018 presentation and the slides here.
