Every couple months, some LSTS (and not only) colleagues meet together to discuss books.
After exploring the writings of Evaristo (author of 'Girl, Woman, Other') and Makumbi (author of 'The first woman'), the book in spotlight this month is Duchamp Is My Lawyer - The Polemics, Pragmatics, and Poetics of UbuWeb by Kenneth Goldsmith (328 pages, 2020).
Prof. Gloria González Fuster will prologue the book.
When? 30 September 2021, 17:00-19:00 Brussels time
Where? Room C409 (Building C), Campus Etterbeek. You can also participate online via Microsoft Teams.
How can I participate? If you wish to participate online, contact Olga Gkotsopoulou or Laura Drechsler and you will receive a calendar invitation and a link to the online meeting. If you want to participate in person, just join us in room C409, Campus Etterbeek the day and time fo the event. It would be good if you can drop us a line before, so as to plan in line with VUB's corona protocols.
Who? Everyone is welcome! The discussion is rather informal. Feel free to disseminate! Having read the book is not a precondition for joining the Book Club.
