Registration has opened for Class 6 of Digital Data Flows Masterclass, Future of Privacy Forum’s yearlong educational program designed to help policymakers, regulators, and staff better understand the data-driven technologies at the forefront of data protection law & policy.

Class 6 will feature experts on Facial Recognition. Participants will gain an understanding of:

Differences between types of video analytics software, including: detection, characterization, persistent tracking, and face recognition (1:1 verification and 1:Many identification), and how data can be used for these purposes in real-world situations.

How the accuracy of facial recognition software tools can be measured for differences between demographic groups (such as race, age, or sex), with a presentation on how facial recognition software is currently being evaluated by the U.S. National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
