Imge Ozcan is a researcher and PhD candidate at the interdisciplinary Research Group on Law, Science, Technology and Society (LSTS) at Vrije Universiteit Brussel. She holds a Master's degree in Media and Cultural Studies. Her current research focuses on lived experiences of datafication from the bottom-up, looking at diverse subject positions and engagements with data particularly in the context of self-tracking practices. Her other research interests are feminist technoscience and inventive methods in social science research.
Imge is in the Organising Committee and Programme Committee of Computers, Privacy and Data Protection conference (CPDP). She is also co-organising the annual PrivacyCamp.eu which brings together activists, academics and policy makers and provides a platform for collective action. Before academia, Imge worked in media industry including broadcast TV and publishing.
