Irene Kamara won the Standards+Innovation Award in the category Individual Researcher/Innovator for her research in the field of cybersecurity, privacy, and technical standards. Kamara was nominated by NEN, the Dutch Standardisation Institute.
The Standards+Innovation awards are hosted by the European Standardisation Organisations CEN and CENELEC and aim at spotlighting outstanding research on standardization. The awards acknowledge the important contribution of research and innovation to standardisation. The award is presented annually to someone who successfully introduces his or her research outcome into standardisation, thereby creating impact for her or his work.
