For another year, LSTS researchers will be present at the Conference TILTing Perspectives to discuss their work on several and diverse subjects. TILTing2021 will be focusing on Regulating in times of crisis and will be held entirely online.
On Wednesday, May 19th:
- at 14:00 CEST, Alessandra Calvi will present her work on 'European data protection law and policies against climate change: conforming or diverging goals? (abstract)'
On Thursday, May 20th:
- at 16:00 CEST, Laura Drechsler will speak about 'Data subject rights as human rights safeguards against surveillance measures from outside the European Union (abstract)'.
- at 18:00 CEST, Gianclaudio Malgieri and Gloria Gonzàlez Fuster will speak about 'The (gendered) vulnerable data subject (abstract)'.
- at 11:00-12:30 CEST, Irene Kamara will chair the Session 8B 'Human Rights and AI: Challenges from data processing for security and law enforcement purposes'.
On Friday, May 21st:
- at 14:30 CEST, Michalina Nadolna Peeters will discuss 'Gaps in GDPR private enforcement: How are conflicts of laws triggered and what do they to data subjects’ rights (abstract)'.
- at 15:30 CEST, Gianclaudio Malgieri and Frank Pasquale will speak about 'Unlawful AI, “until proven otherwise”: A new model for AI justification (abstract).
