LSTS postdoctoral researcher Rosamunde van Brakel will be giving two presentations at the conference of the European Society of Criminology, which will be held 18-21 September 2019 in Ghent (Belgium).
The first talk, entitled 'Is predictive policing legitimate? Exploring the drivers behind predictive policing in The Netherlands and Belgium' will take place on 19 September.
The second one together with Professor Lucas Melgaço on 'Security theatre in an age of smart cities: debunking surveillance discourses' will be held on 21 September.
