In her talk, Marilena will present her research on trust in AI in the workplace, drawing on an extensive 2024 survey and key literature on technology, trust, and change.
Talk Summary
Automation and AI systems are transforming the workplace, but how this transformation unfolds depends heavily on workers’ willingness to trust and adopt these technologies. Some workers trust AI more than others, and trust levels vary across regions. Drawing on a far-reaching 2024 worker survey conducted across several countries, and on a rich body of literature, this talk explores how factors such as personal experience with AI, industrial context, and regulatory environments shape workers' trust in AI and their broader perceptions of emerging technologies.
We look forward to seeing you there, either in person or online!
