Jaroslaw Greser
Biography
Jarosław is a cybersecurity lawyer who is a postdoctoral researcher at CDSL and works as an assistant professor at Warsaw University of Technology. His main interests are related to the intersection between law and technology in the medical sector, in particular with respect to cybersecurity and privacy issues. His postdoctoral research at VUB focuses on the legal possibilities and limitations of using synthetic data in the medical sector.
Recently, he carried out the research project "Cybersecurity of the Medical Internet of Things - a legal perspective" and conducted research stays at the University of Oslo (2022) and Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law in Heidelberg (2019).
Jarosław holds a PhD degree in law from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan, Poland. His thesis, titled “Transnational Corporations and Human Rights”, was awarded in 2015 as one of the best theses concerning business ethics in Poland.
He is also an advocate (adwokat) providing legal assistance related to practical aspects of implementation of the new technologies. He is also a member of Team Europe – a network of experts informing about the functioning of EU and its policies, established by the European Commission Permanent Representation in Poland.
