Johannes Thumfart

Johannes Thumfart, philosopher and historian, received his PhD from Humboldt Universität Berlin in the Intellectual History of International Law. Previous teaching positions at Freie Universität Berlin, Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico-City and University of Cincinnati. Writes occasionally for "Der Spiegel". At LSTS, he conducts the research project "Six Fundamental Challenges to State Sovereignty in the Digital Age: A Descriptive and Normative Analysis", which is funded by Gerda Henkel Foundation’s Special Programme "Security, Society and the State".
