LSTS Researcher Anastasia Nefeli Vidaki will present her work in progress at this Doctoral Seminar entitled: ‘The Principle of Natural Judge in view of Judicial Applications of Algorithmic Technologies: Legal and Ethical considerations’
This research explores the doctrine of the natural and human judge as developed legally and sociologically throughout history. After presenting cases of use of algorithmic technologies within the judiciary, it examines their impact on the aforementioned principle from a legal, ethical, and philosophical perspective. The ultimate goal is to provide regulatory and deontological solutions that respect legal traditions while ensuring the protection of judicial role across the EU.
