It critically assesses the existing challenges in the oversight system of the full surveillance cycle from a fundamental rights perspective. The research discusses the safeguards for fundamental rights protection as envisaged by the EU law and the recent case law of the Court of Justice of the European Union. It evaluates Georgian legal and institutional frameworks in light of the EU values and standards.
