On 6 May, LSTS postdoctoral researcher Rosamunde Van Brakel was invited to give a presentation on the ethical challenges of the use of AI in law enforcement at a conference on AI and its challenges to law enforcement organized by the Swedish Defense Research Agency and the Swedish Police Authority.
The Conference had as goal to prepare law enforcement authorities, as well as the researcher communities supporting them, in effectively and proportionately combating AI-related crimes, and leveraging the possibilities of artificial intelligence in policing.
