On 24 October 2019, Laura Drechsler (FWO, Brussels Privacy Hub, LSTS) gave a presentation together with Juan Carlos Benito Sánchez (FNRS, UC Louvain) on “Algorithmic discrimination from a Data Protection Law and an Anti-Discrimination Law perspective” during the B.STS (Belgian, Science, Technology and Society) workshop on “Governing the digital platform revolution in health research and care: Chartering social challenges, tracing normative perspectives” at the KU Leuven.
The presentation was based on a paper called “The price is (not) right: Data Protection and Discrimination in the Age of Pricing Algorithms”, published in the European Journal of Law and Technology in open access.
