
Anja Elisabeth Dekhuijzen, PhD researcher at Maastricht University and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB) and affiliated with the Law, Science, Technology & Society (LSTS) Research Group, has published a case note in the European Data Protection Law Review.
The article, titled “La Quadrature du Net II and Data Retention under Article 15(1) ePrivacy Directive: CJEU Walks a Tightrope on IP Addresses Retention and Access for Public Authorities in Non-Serious Crime”, examines the Court of Justice of the European Union’s landmark April 2024 ruling in La Quadrature du Net II.
