Maxime Zaït
Biography
Holder of a master's degree in law from ULB, Maxime Zaït co-founded the Communa association in 2013, using abandoned buildings to open spaces to communities, with the aim of helping to make Brussels more affordable, democratic, resilient and creative. In 2022, he returns from a 9-month tour of discovery of urban commons across Europe, following which he begins academic research on the links between urban commons and alternative forms of property, in legal theory at LSTS, within the Vrije Universiteit Brussels. He is also the administrator of Yes We Camp and sits on the Supervisory Board of the Plateau Urbain cooperative as well as on the Impact Committee of the Bellevilles property company.
