Abstract:
Anja’s PhD research topic is the emergence of the principle of proportionality in the European Union, also through a legal philosophical lens. The research question is how the balancing test in Article 6(1)(f) GDPR can best be performed. Where possible she reaches out to later legislation such as the AIA and NIS2. Article 6(1)(f) GDPR in many cases will be the ground (if any) for lawful processing personal data in respect of artificial intelligence.
