Robert Riemann

Robert Riemann, Ph.D., is Head of Sector for Digital Transformation in the Technology and Privacy Unit at the European Data Protection Supervisor in Brussels. He contributes also to the overall IT governance of the EDPS and supports the EDPS representation in several EDPB subgroups. Occasionally, he delivers trainings to the EDPB members and the DPO network of the EU institutions.

He holds a PhD in computer science (2017, École Normale Supérieure de Lyon) with a thesis on distributed protocols for aggregation of confidential data with applications in e.g. online voting. Prior, he obtained his Masters in Physics (2013, Humboldt Universität zu Berlin).
