Victoria Wiegand
Biography
Victoria Wiegand is a visiting researcher from the ADAPT Centre at Trinity College Dublin and a Computer Science PhD candidate supported by the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) Doctoral Network HARNESS. Her research explores governance frameworks for the responsible use of generative AI in academic research, with a focus on transparency, explainability, and risk assessment. She employs ontology-based semantic web technologies as a tool to support interoperable governance, policy compliance, and equitable evaluation of AI use across scholarly workflows.
At LSTS, she will study AI and data impact assessments, regulatory implications, and governance mechanisms as they relate to academic knowledge production and the integration of AI into research practices.
