On 20 and 21 November 2019, LSTS Professor Vagelis Papakonstantinou participated as speaker in the conference 'Personal data processing by judicial and prosecution authorities (GDPR and Law 4624/2019)'. The conference took place at the Athens Appeals Court, with the participation of several distinguished legal scholars and practicioners from Greece.
Prof Papakonstantinou had two presentations over the course of the conference. The first one on 'Issues of personal data processing by judicial authorities within the scope of application of GDPR and Law 4624/2019' shed light on the processing of personal data about criminal convictions and offences, and the discussion around the respective legal bases. The second one focused on 'The processing of personal data by prosecution and criminal judicial authorities in line with Chapter D of Law 4624/2019: processing principles, obligations of the data controller and data subject's rights'.
