On 4 May 2019, LSTS Professor Vagelis Papakonstantinou made a presentation at the Athens Infolaw Conference co-organised by ELSA Greece and the Hellenic Association of Data Protection & Privacy, on "Data Privacy Law: Is it a new field of law?". Professor Papakonstantinou reflected upon the issue, by providing useful insights on the data privacy framework over the years, its scope and purpose, its internal structure, coherence and self-sustainability.
The Athens Infolaw Conference took place in Athens, Greece under the auspices of the Greek Ministry of Justice, Transparency and Human Rights, the Athens Bar Association, the Athens Medical Association and with the honourary support of GRECA – Greek eCommerce Association. The conference was structured upon three pillars: Criminal Law, eCommerce and Data Protection Law.
